ITV with "WaVe project" at the Hanover Exhibition 2024

This year, the ITV was represented with the "WaVe Project" at the joint stand of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture (MWK).

The ITV is engaged in the development of a hydrogen-oxygen burner for the generation of steam and the increase of output in steam power plants as part of the "Nachhaltige Wasserstoff-Verbrennungs-Konzepte" (WaVe) project. Specific challenges include the dynamic control and the very high combustion temperatures of up to 3400 Kelvin. In order to ensure safe and economical use in power plant processes, limit values for the residual gas concentrations of hydrogen and oxygen must also be adhered to. Therefore, the objective is to achieve almost complete combustion.

In a collaborative research project with the Institute for Sustainable Energy Supply at Jade University and the Institute for Power Plant Engineering and Heat Transfer at Leibniz Universität Hannover, we seek to address these issues.

We would like to extend our gratitude to all those who expressed interest in our work and engaged in discussion with us at our exhibition stand.
