In June 2026, the ITV organized an excursion to Enercity’s sewage sludge incineration plant in Hannover Lahe, just as it did last year. There, participants gained fascinating insights into the incineration of sewage sludge at a modern incineration plant. First, an overview of the power plant and the topic of sewage sludge was provided via a presentation at the plant. Afterwards, participants were able to observe the processes of incineration, flue gas cleaning, and waste material treatment during a tour of the facility.
