The Institute of Technical Combustion was represented at the ASME Turbo Expo 2024 in London. Our employee Lars Eichhorn took part in the renowned conference and was able to follow numerous scientific presentations in the fields of turbomachinery and combustion. These provided a valuable insight into the latest research findings and technological developments.
Lars Eichhorn presented the Institute's research at an international level with his own contribution on hydrogen-oxygen combustion in gas turbines. The lecture highlighted an innovative approach to sustainable energy generation and emphasised the relevance of hydrogen as a climate-friendly alternative to fossil fuels. Furthermore, the areas of application of hydrogen-oxygen combustion were also an intensively discussed topic at the parallel trade fair. This enabled important industry contacts to be made, which will enrich the ITV in its future work.
We look forward to the upcoming scientific and industrial collaborations that will emerge from this successful conference. Our involvement in the ASME Turbo Expo is indicative of our dedication to the advancement of innovative solutions to the challenges of the energy transition and to the active engagement with the global specialist community.
